Act Now to Support S. 808

The Sports Medicine Licensure Clarity Act (S. 808) has been re-introduced in the United States Senate. The house version of the bill, H.R. 302, passed in the U.S. House of Representatives on January 9 of this year only three days after being reintroduced. The Sports Medicine Licensure Clarity Act clarifies medical liability rules for athletic trainers and medical professionals to ensure they are properly covered by their malpractice insurance while traveling with their athletic teams in another state. Encourage your Senator to become a co-sponsor of the Sports Medicine Licensure Clarity Act. Pick up the phone, write an email or letter, or plan to attend the 2017 NATA Capitol Hill Day, which will take place May 16th in Washington D.C. Athletic trainers are asked to contact their senators to ask for support. The NATA Federal Legislative Alert Center makes it simple to contact your senator. Click below for more information.
