National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA)
The NATA is the national professional association for athletic trainers. Membership in MoATA is included with membership in the NATA.
Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA)
The MAATA is composed of seven states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri. The MAATA is also known as District 5 of the NATA.

The BOC is the credentialing organization for certified athletic trainers. The BOC produces the certification exam and determines the criteria for recertification. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are logged on this website.
Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts
The Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts is a component of the Missouri Division of Professional Registration. Every athletic trainer practicing in the state of Missouri must be licensed by this board.
National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES)
NPPES is the system, designed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, to provide health care practitioners with a National Provider Identifier (NPI). All certified athletic trainers are encouraged to have an NPI. (Questions about NPI?)

NATA Research & Education Foundation
The NATA Foundation provides scholarship and research grants to athletic trainers in order to enhance and further the profession of athletic training.
The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)
The purpose of the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) is to develop, maintain, and promote appropriate minimum education standards of quality athletic training programs. CAATE accredits Professional, Post-Professional and Residency Programs in Athletic Training.
Multidisciplinary Approach to Concussion Care Lunch and Learns
This is a FREE resource. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the Concussion Care ECHO hopes to empower and support healthcare professionals to confidently and effectively apply best practices. This ECHO will offer online collaborative learning sessions every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from noon to 1:00 p.m.
