MAATA BOD Elections & Awards Deadline Approaching
Certified Members of MAATA - It is time to elect leaders for District 5. We have 2 great candidates for district secretary and 1 great candidate for treasurer. Voting will take place November 1 - November 21. The deadline for MAATA Awards is quickly approaching, which is December 1. If you know of a deserving AT, please take the time to nominate them. The following awards are presented at the MAATA Annual Meeting and Symposium during the Awards Banquet. Choose from the list of available awards for full information and instructions on each award. To nominate a colleague for an award, complete the online application. Once the nomination has been reviewed by the Honors and Awards Committee, the nominee will be contacted by the committee to provide supporting documentation.

MAATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award
MAATA Athletic Training Service Award
The Athletic Training Service Award recognizes MAATA members for their distinctive contributions to the athletic training profession at the local, state, and district levels.
MAATA Ethnically Diverse and Female Recognition Award
This award recognizes an individual who has contributed significantly to the professional development of ethnically diverse or female athletic trainers, or has significantly provided advancement of health care services to an ethnically diverse or female population. This award will focus on MAATA members who have made a significant impact within the MAATA District.
MAATA Athletic Training Educator of the Year Award
The award is given annually to an athletic training educator who exemplifies excellence in the field of athletic training education. The recipient will show excellence in promoting athletic training education by demonstrating significant contributions to the education of MAATA members, students in the classroom, clinical education of students, development of an educational program, or through academic presentations and published work that will enhance the field of athletic training.
