Chris Farmer MD, MSPH
Dr. Farmer completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri in Columbia and stayed with the program from medical school through his fellowship in sports medicine. His passion for the medical field led him to earn his Master of Science and Public Health degree with an additional Certificate of Added Qualification in Primary Care Sports Medicine.
Dr. Farmer joined the Columbia Orthopaedic Group in July 2010 after practicing for five years in Springfield, Missouri. While in southwest Missouri, he served as a team physician for Missouri State University and the Springfield Cardinals, In Columbia he served twelve years as team physician for the University of Missouri women's basketball, gymnastics, golf, and baseball. He specializes in sports medicine and non-operative orthopaedic care, including athletes with acute or chronic illness, concussion management, and injury prevention.
