Athletic Trainers and Missouri Consolidate Health Care Plan

A decade long misunderstanding has been corrected.  Athletic Trainers are, once again, recognized as qualified providers of physical medicine and rehabilitation services under the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan.  There are more than 100,000 State employees and retirees who can choose to see an Athletic Trainer for rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. We worked with the MCHCP to ensure the individuals covered by this plan have access to health services provided by ATs.
