Latest Updates from the MSHSAA Sports Medicine Advisory Committee

The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Sports Medicine Advisory Committee convened on September 5th, 2017 to review and update current practices. Several action items were proposed and voted into place during the committee meeting. Items include changes to Pre-Participation Examinations to be valid for a two (2) year period, approval of the 2016-2017 Interscholastic Youth Sports Brain Injury Report, and a recommendation to research and develop guidelines on implementing the use of the wet bulb globe instead of heat index readings at member schools. For a complete summary of agenda items, please visit the MSHSAA website here.
